The SLX XT features a rigid Hagane metal body, mitigating potential frame flex and serving as the framework for its internals to operate seamlessly within and maintain a solid feel in hand. SilentTune Technology introduced to this reel comes from Shimano’s top tier casting reels, applying slight pressure to the bearing holding the spool. With this, the proper alignment is gained and vibration is eliminated that gives the user even greater casting distance and an ever quieter reel.
